01Is this road legal?+
No. Plate lights must work on the public road, so PlateGone is for shows, meets and private land only. Switch them back on before you drive — ignition on does it for you.
02Will it fit my car?+
Any car with a standard plate light plug, which is almost all of them. Tell us your car before we ship and we'll check the plug type first.
03Does it affect my MOT?+
No. Nothing is cut or replaced, and with the lights on the plate reads exactly as it did from the factory. It also unplugs in a minute if you'd rather remove it.
04What if it doesn't fit?+
Send it back within 30 days for a full refund and we cover the postage. If there's any doubt about your car, we won't take your money.
05What warranty do I get?+
Two years on the connectors and the remote. Faulty inside that time and we replace it, postage both ways on us — your order email is all we need.
06Do I need to cut any wiring?+
No. It sits between the light plug and the car wiring like an extension lead. Fully reversible.
07How hard is the install?+
Unclip the light surround, plug the connector in, stick the fob in the cabin. Under five minutes, no tools on most cars.
08Is it visible from outside?+
No. The connector hides behind the plate light surround, so the car still looks factory.
09Does it need charging?+
No. The connectors run off the car's own wiring. Only the fob has a battery, and it lasts about a year.
10Are the lights as bright?+
Identical. The connector only switches power on and off — it never dims or alters the bulbs.
11What happens when it starts?+
The plate lights come back to normal on every ignition on, even if you left them off.
